We are accepting applications for the first-ever Harm Reduction Psychotherapy Certificate Program at the New School for Social Research. This program will offer the fundamentals of integrative harm reduction psychotherapy, an approach developed by Dr. Andrew Tatarsky. Together with Dr. Tatarsky, I will be co-teaching the classes that comprise the certificate program and there will also be guest lectures by experts in the field. The certificate is designed as a year-long training program for professionals who are interested in learning how to work with substance misuse and other problematic behaviors using an approach that is compassionate, collaborative, and focused on the development of skills to promote positive change. Classes will meet for 12 weeks each semester and there is also an option of participating in individual and group supervision through The Center for Optimal Living.
