Together with Dr. Andrew Tatarsky and Molly Fogel, I will be presenting on Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy for Medical Marijuana at NASW-NYC's Addictions Institute Conference. The title of the conference is Marijuana and Emerging Drugs: Evolving Perspectives in Addictions. Register here.
I am a licensed clinical psychologist working in NYC. I am the Assistant Director of the Concentration in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling at The New School and am also on staff at The Center for Optimal Living. I specialize in the treatment of substance misuse and other problematic behaviors using an integrative harm reduction framework. My approach is interactive and focuses on the development of practical skills to manage intense emotions, reduce self-judgment, and promote self-compassion. I incorporate mindfulness-based skills and cognitive-behavioral techniques in my work and offer individual and group therapy.
